No Marcus, sorry to disappoint you but we'll actually beat Blackburn (and we
might even do Sunderland this week on current form).

I fear that man utd will wrap up the title this weekend which means they
will play their under 18 squad against Blackpool to preserve their stars for
the Champions League Final. This means Blackpool will beat Man Utd (remember
West Ham a few years ago) and that will put us down.

Just looking at the remaining fixtures for all the teams in the relegation
fight.

The current points are

Blackburn 39 - If they loose to Man U on Saturday, and us Blackpool and
Wigan win they could need to beat us to survive,

Birminghham 39 - Still have to paly Spurs and Fulham, both could go either
way, but i think they may need a point

Wolves 37 -

Blackpool 36 - Two tough games against Bolton and man U, I think they are
gone

Wigan 36 - West Ham and Stoke, again games that could go either way but I
think they are gone

West Ham 33 - Two very winnable games against Wigan and Sunderland worries
me

Out of the six teams in the dog fight Blackburn and Blackpool both have to
face Man U, so lets assume they have a maximum of three points available to
them (although both could possibly take points off Man U). My choice for the
drop simply because I don't think either will beat Man U.

West Ham have to win this weekend to survive, if they do beat Wigan, I
think we will have to beat Sunderland or Blackburn to stay up.

In other words, we definately need one more win or two draws to stay up, and
I hope its this weekend, because the last day fixtures fill me with dread.

So, Blackpool and Wigan for the drop, with the last spot between West Ham,
Blackburn and Us. Serious pressure.
