I miss being able to say "hello" to someone without having to say "How's it going" and "good thanks" as follow up. It's worse at work. You can do all this in a conversation with someone on the phone, and then have to do it again when they call back two minutes later. I've tried saying "terrible, I feel ill and I had a row with my wife this morning" but people still keep asking.
I also miss people that use their car indicators to give a signal about what they intend to do, rather than a boast about what they have just done. It's even worse when you are following people here and they just slow down and stop without indicating.
