Is there anybody that doesn't look back and think:
"Oh, how I wish we hadn't sacked Mick McCarthy"

Dear Fred
It was a proud moment for yesterday, when I was officially introduced to the
media
as the new Head Coach of Wolves.
Proud in many different ways, one of which was to know that I am taking
charge of a team
which has always been followed by such a large and passionate fanbase.
I know it has been a very difficult couple of years for all connected with
Wolves, in particular
you the supporters, and it is now up to myself, the staff and the players to
bring about a
far more positive and successful atmosphere this season.
To arrive at a club which has suffered consecutive relegations, and then
discover that despite
that over 9,000 supporters had already renewed their Season Tickets, tells
me straightaway
that there is a really loyal fanbase here who stick with Wolves through the
good times and the
bad.
You all renewed your Season Tickets before I arrived, but I would like to
thank you for such a
strong show of support in your club after it has suffered two major
setbacks.
I will now be working as hard as I possibly can to repay that level of
support, and making sure
we can all start to feel a sense of pride in saying we are connected with
Wolverhampton
Wanderers.
It is not going to be easy in League One - there are some good teams at this
level, we are
planning to head into the season with a younger, fresher squad but will
still be seen as a big
scalp.
With all that expectation, your support is going to be more important than
ever, and if we
all stay together and give our best then we can look forward to a good and
exciting season.
I'm eager to learn all about the Club and what it means to you and I'd like
to invite a group
of you to come to Molineux and take me around the Wolves Museum and
introduce me to
Wolves and your fantastic history. If you would like to come along on
Wednesday 12th
June 2013 at 1pm email [email protected] with your name and contact details
before 5pm on
Friday 7th June and we'll be in touch with those of you that we'll be
inviting along.
