I actually had a job interview the day prior to the interview with Rob. I mentioned this to Rob, although at that point I didn't know whether I would get the job. I would have struggled to have chosen between both that job and the Airwave job. I was successful in getting the job - and therefore took a quick holiday before starting - hence the delayed response. On Rob's point. I still want to keep my AR business alive having co-run it for 5 years. Although after 18 months of freelancing I was very much looking for a perm role, for a permanent length of time. The role I have now started is also permanent. One day I hope to develop some more AR apps, but at this stage I think that's a long way off. I also have two co-owners/colleagues as part of my company who are still freelancing and available to take any calls for AR, in the very unlikely event of userXmetrics receiving any. Anyway, it was great to meet you all - and I'll link up with Rob on LinkedIn, as it'd be good to stay in touch about AR and Digital/Mobile related matters. Rob felt you had a lot of agency experience and had a deep understanding of the brands and mobile market. You are extremely strong from a tech perspective, especially in AR. In the interview you came across as both competent and passionate. The main concern Rob had was regarding your long term plan. There was a question mark around whether this role is a stop gap while you wait for your AR business to take off. We have decided not to progress you further at this stage. If you see a role you feel you would want to commit too longer term please let us know - we feel you would add a lot of value to our business.
