LOL Thanks for that. I already knew the date - 26th Dec 1998. Result was what I didn’t know. Swindon won 1-0... it was Boxing Day - our first Xmas in the UK - we had just arrived to live in London for 3 years and had Xmas with my mate and his wife who lived out in Newbury. Despite the awful start (until last year I used to describe being a Wolves fan as having chronic depression for 6 months of the year...) I would rather be a Wolves fan than a Swindon fan! They are mid-table in League 2!
But despite a pretty rubbish first 18 years - even when we were promoted in the early and mid 000s it always felt temporary - I would rather be a Wolves fan today than anything else. The previous struggles makes this season even more exciting and rewarding.
