My money is on a 2-0 win at $16.

Relying on Semedo having been taught to defend the back post during the break.

I’ll be down before christmas and can make any date.

King John & Daley Back for Matchday Museum Experience

The Matchday Museum Experience had two legends as guests for our games in
September.

<https://i.emlfiles4.com/cmpimg/3/2/5/4/3/3/files/imagecache/912907/w660_768031_museummonthlyoct231_03.jpg>

Visiting us for Liverpool was John Richards. 486 appearances and 194 goals
between 1969 and 1983, a double League Cup Winner (1974 & 1980), UEFA Cup
Finalist (1972), Texaco Cup Winner (1971), FA Cup Semi Finalist (1973, 1979,
1981), League Cup Semi Finalist (1973) & Division 2 Champion (1977). There are
legends and then there’s King John.

Visiting us for the Man City game, and predicting Wolves would win, was Steve
Daley. Daley joined Wolves the same year as John in 1969, also playing his part
in the UEFA Cup run in 1972. Fittingly Daley was here for the Man City match
after his famous transfer to them in September 1979.

For over 2 years now Wolves Museum has worked closely with our former player
and good friend Mel Eves, and the Shaw Trust. Patrick Quirke, our former
curator who we sadly lost in August 2022, was extremely close to the Shaw Trust
and it was Pat and Mel who started this relationship. The Shaw Trust is based
in the Old Boot Factory next door to the old Royal Hospital and are the UKs
largest third sector provider of employment services for disabled and
disadvantaged people. Mel and the team work extremely hard and we really enjoy
their visits to Molineux.

We thought it was appropriate that Mel was photographed in the recently
released 1980 League Cup Final jacket which have proven very popular with
supporters. A photo was also taken with visiting group. Thank you for visiting
Mel and thanks for everything you do with the Shaw Trust.

VIP Tour - Lee Mills

For our Thursday evening VIP tour, we travelled back to the 1990s as we
welcomed back former striker Lee Mills.

<https://i.emlfiles4.com/cmpimg/3/2/5/4/3/3/files/imagecache/912907/w660_768027_museummonthlyoct231_16.jpg>

Mills, who has been back at Wolves for a year as Football & Education Coach
within the Wolves Foundation, appeared 33 times for Wolves and scored 6 goals
from 1992 to 1995 with his most memorable goal being at Ipswich Town in March
1994 in the FA Cup 5th Round replay. Wolves knocked out the then Premier League
Tractor Boys.

<https://i.emlfiles4.com/cmpimg/3/2/5/4/3/3/files/imagecache/912907/w660_768028_museummonthlyoct231_18.jpg>

Mills also infamously scored for Bradford City at Molineux in May 1999 as
Bradford were promoted to the Premier League and Wolves missed out on the play
offs. Lee was very popular with our guests, and we had some brilliant feedback
on the evening. Thank You Lee.

Gerry Checks In

Wolves legend Gerry Taylor checked into Wolves Museum for a visit in September.
With 193 appearances and 1 goal between 1962 and 1976, Gerry was part of the
1967 Division 2 promotion success and a USA Champion in both 1967 and 1969.
Taylor also played a big part in our run to the UEFA Cup final in 1972.

Gerry was at Molineux to help with the Molineux Memories afternoon with Wolves
Foundation.

Always great to see Gerry back at Molineux

Wolves Around The World

Central America, USA, Canada

This area will be dedicated to articles and delving into our history. This
section is inspired by our former Historian and Museum Curator Patrick Quirke
who sadly passed away in August 2022. Pat was an inspiration to us all at
Wolves Museum and continues to be missed.

This month we move from South America to look at Central and North America.
