This assumes Win9x/NT4. Copy and save the following into a text file named
timeformat.reg. Change "Version 4.00" to "Version 5.00" for Win2k.
------------------
Windows Registry Editor Version 4.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\International]
"sTimeFormat"="h:mm:ss tt"
----------------------------

Then put timeformat.reg into your NETLOGON directory, and add thjis to your
logon scripts:
REGEDIT /S timeformat.reg

If someone did change this setting in your domain's .POL files (for
WIn9x/NT4) or Win2k Group Policy, it won't stick. Talk to the person who
administers that stuff.

How do I set it globally?
No I didn't distribute a new software package... Something must have
changed on the server...

It's actually in
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\International\sTimeFormat

Mine is set to "h:mm:ss tt" and I see "1:53 PM" in my task bar.

That can be controlled through Win2k group policy, Win9x or NT .pol files.
IIRC it's just a registry entry in HKEY_CURRENT_USER.

Did you change policies or distribute a new software package or something?

Subject: Net time?

Hello all,

I am using the following command in my logon script:
net time \\ntsrv002 /set /yes

Now yesterday everyone's desktop time switched to 14:00 for 2pm, it used to
say 2pm...

Any idea why it would switch?

Phil
