Sounds like you might have a bad NIC - one that is continuously
broadcasting. Does this server have 2 NIC's in it? If it does, try
disabling one and see if that does anything. If not, you may just want to
swap out NIC's.

Subject: Constant Network activity - Why?
Hi,
I have a simple setup, one Windows 2000 ADV Server as DC, another Windows
2000 ADV Server,
3 PCs running NT Workstation, networked via a hub.
A while after I reboot the DC i get constant network activity lighting up on
the hub and
on all the network cards on the PCs.
Does anyone know why this is?
None of the computers are accessing any information on the others through
the network.
The only way to stop the activity is to reboot the DC but then it comes back
after a while.
Any ideas?
Hylton
