for this server are removed

I am trying to run DCPROMO on 2 of my servers. I can run part of the
demotion and then I get to a part that says that the server is
transferring some Global FSMO roles to someplace, and both servers have
never been any type of FSMO holder. Then I get an error on ISAM and
then something about the RPC service not responding and the server will
then restart automatically, it counts down for 60 seconds I have looked
through all the event logs and have not found anything out of the
ordinary in them. Have looked on MS site but have not really found
anything that helps.
I was wondering if some else has run into this and what needs to be done
to fix it.
Also is it possible to rebuild the server, give it the same name and IP
address and run DCPROMO on it to make it a DC again all with in about 45
minutes. That will be about the time I can get the server ready to use
again. not have all the data files transferred back, but have the
server running again to be able to transfer the files back.
