Hi,

I think that should be wires 1,2,3 and 6 (not 5), crossed to 3,6,1 and 2,
although you wrote the colors right underneath these.
Just helping to avoid any confusion ;)

Thanks Peter Andrews

I hub performs the process of Crossing over the connection a network
cable works with 4 wires for transmit and 2 for receive. A hub makes the
Tx talk to the Rx, you can do this manually between 2 computers with a
"Cross over" Cable.

 End 1
1,2,3,5
Wo,o,WG,B,WB,G,Wbr,Br
 End 2
3,5,1,2
WG,G,Wo,B,Wb,O,Wbr,Br

You swap those pairs. Hope that helps a bit.

directory?

Hi,

Just to clarify:
The two computers are not on the network. I take the networked computer

home to continue to work.
I don't have a HUB.
Both of those computers have network card.
Do I need a HUB to connect computers with network wire. Because without
it
mapping to \\computer_name\c$ doesn't work.
Or I need to use parallel port wire and then map two computers with
\\computer_name\c$

Thanks in advance.
