I want to switch DHCP servers, please tell me if this plan makes sense:

Running an NT4 domain, with mostly Win2k clients, some NT4 clients. We have
one subnet. I want to forklift the DHCP server from one NT4 BDC to a member
server.

I've experimented with the DHCPEXIM.EXE tool in the Win2k RK and it seems to
work well. I was planning on: setting the renewal period to something very
short (2 hours say), then at the end of one day, when all machines are on
the new renewal period, I'll export from one server, import to the other,
and stop DHCP on the old machine and start it up on the new one..

Big question: will any of the clients have a problem finding the new DHCP
server? Any other realistic options?

Thanks

-Warren
