Incorrect DNS will do that to you. Check your DNS settings, make sure your
servers are updating correctly, etc.

Subject: Problems changing Administrator Password.

Environment:
Two servers (A&B) running Windows 2000 Server SP2.
Both servers are Domain controllers in the same domain.
server X is a DC running DNS, Global Catalog, and DHCP.
Server Y is a DC running a copy of the same DNS from A.

Problem:
The Problem I am having is every time I change the Administrator's password
in Active director Users and Computers (ADUC) it seems to worked, however If
I logout from both servers (X&Y) and try to log in again to X, the server
appears to be trying to login but it never finishes login in, it will stay
like this forever, after this the only way to fix this problem is to shut
down the server(x),login as Adminto a 2000 workstation and access the ADUC
to change back the Administrator password to the original one, then I can
login to the X server as Administrator with no problems.

Thank you,
