how can I do this?

This means that your nameserver doesn't have a reverse DNS entry for its
own address.
Use dig instead of nslookup, as it doesn't care about this.

Subject: RE: I don't know
OK here goes.
I don't want AD.
Just a plan simple DNS Server
I have 2 machines
I want to setup a primary and secondary
I think I have done this 90% ok.
infact the zones do transfer.
but on the monitor the server section
where it askes you to do a query on the machine
it fails.
when I first set it up, it did not fail.
I changed the name, and now I can't get it to work.
Plus...
when setting up the machine...
it asked me something like this...
do you want to be a root server for the domain..
I said no, then I reinstall and said yes...
I am close, and I know Dns should not be this hard..
but I need some clues
