We are currently using (the now discontinued) ALERT! to generate SNMP traps from defined events (from SQL, our own apps etc) in the application log on NT4. These are then represented at a management station with Castle Rocks SNMPc according to category. Migration to Win2K will be later this year, so I'm looking for a Win2k solution.
