what software is needed to use the win98 machines?? What if DFS is not being
used??

You may wish to check the "Bypass traverse checking" right which
allows users to drill through folders to which they don't have rights to
access folders to which they do have rights.
Also note that using the GUI interface for browsing the folder to
map will only map to the share. If you manually type in the complete path
it should be able to map to a folder within the share.
Also note that all this relies upon DFS. If the clients are Win9x
then they need extra software to allow the DFS abstraction. AIR NT prior to
SP4 will also have similar problems so NT clients need the latest SP as
well.
