I would save your money and tell you honestly to forget all the HYPE about
INTEL chips and go buy yourself a new AMD based machine. The palomino chip
running at 1.4Ghz outpaces an Intel running at 2Ghz. Yeah I know people want

Hi all,
I need you advice,
I am running Windows 98 on a Pentium2 - 350 with 512 meg.
I am thinking of replacing that PC for either a Pentium3 Dual 1000 with 512
meg or a Pentium4 1.8 with 512 meg running Windows 2000 Pro.
If I don't run any games on that PC, but run multi boot OS, including W2K
server and SQL 2000.
My main use for that PC is Email, Internet, Office softwares, Utilities, and
to test Server software.
For that use, would you recommand a P3-dual 1000 or a P4 1.8
