That's the error it gives when the primary DNS server does not respond.
That's the only error in the log??

It finally logged on, after 2+ hours.
In the event log I get a USERENV error Event ID 1000
Windows cannot determine the user or computer name. Return Value of
(1908).

This is a newly loaded PC. There are no profiles, and I don't have
roaming profile for the user that is trying to log on.
The user is Full Domain Admin Member.
The Domain is a Windows 2000 Domain.

Log on locally, back up crucial files from your profile, and then
right-click on my computer and select properties. Go to the user
profiles
tab and delete the culprit profile. Reboot the machine and log on to the
domain. You must have local admin privileges to do this.

I have a Windows 2000 Pro PC that is hanging at the "Loading your
personal Settings" screen forever.
I have loaded SP2 on this machine and updated the NIC Driver.
I can log on locally and map drives to my Domain, but when I try to log
on to the domain, it hangs as described above.
Any other suggestions?
