I think that the best reg tweak is the one that sets the TAB key as
"Command line completion character", kind of like BASH in U*IX.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Command Processor\CompletionChar

Set this to 9 Decimal.

By 'here' I assume you mean an arbitrary file folder in Explorer.

In Windows Explorer use the Tools menu item. Select Options. Select
the File Types tab. Click on the File Types column heading to sort by
that field and look for "Folder". Highlight that item and click the
Advanced button. Click the New button to add an entry to the context
menu for the folder item. In the Action field give a description, such
as C:> or cmd. In the Application field enter: cmd.exe "%1" Push a bunch
of OK buttons to accept the changes and close all the dialogs. The
Action will now appear in the context menu and will open a command
prompt window with that folder as the current location.

This makes a change in the registry, so if you like registry hacks or
need to automate this you can add appropriate entries in
HKCR\Folder\Shell.

This is a really handy thing to have. I do it on all my systems.
