have you tried to decrypt them with the local administrator logon? Because
you re-installed Win2k,I am not sure if administrator can decrypt the files,
but it can in usual circumstances, like if you didn't re-install.

Subject: How to decrypt encrypted file on new installed machine
Dear All,
I have bad experience using files encryption. Well, I forgot to decrypt my
encrypted folders of my documents when I moved these files to other
partition (NTFS). Then I resinstalled my win2k box, I copy my documents to
other partition (which is also NTFS). After I reinstalled, I realise I
can't open my files in the folders. There are plenty of my work files in
this folder!
Fyi, this is my home standalone machine.
Anyone know about how to recover this encrypted files/folders?
I desperately need your advise...
Thank in advance,
Chandra
