PERL will do wonders, it's made for it. ;') It's a bit of work, but you get
what you want, not what a vendor thinks you should see.

Excel, with pivot tables is rather handy or crystal or access

IIRC for MS proxy 2 log format is

192.122.180.9, EW\DOUGS, -, Y, 10/2/01, 7:34:00, 1, -, -, www.metra.co.nz,
-, 80, 791, 2172, 2890, http, -, -,
http://www.metra.co.nz/metconnect/index.jsp;jsessionid=ljwvfqmq21, -, Inet,
200, 0

192.122.180.9=Source IP
EW\DOUGS=Username
Inet=object not cached
http=service

(the ones in blue are obvious)

technet has a full list of them somewhere
cheers

check the proxy log files. They should be in a directory called
\winnt\system32\msplogs. Not very simple to read, but you will get an idea
of who is doing what. Hope that helps. If you want more detailed info, I
would suggest a 3rd party software that will do more in depth monitoring.

i.e. downloading, aol chat, surfing
and how much bandwidth they are taking up
