It will NOT work on the same IP address. Because IIS use HTTP host header to disdinguish request to different site. However, this information will be encrypted during SSL, so IIS will not be able to know which virtual server the HTTP request is for. Hence, NO that will never work.

However does anybody know of a way to do it on the same IP addresses????? To work around this you'd have to have each site on a separate IP address. -Tim -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Alister Sent: Thursday, October 18, 2001 8:35 AM To: NT 2000 Discussions Subject: SSL Certification problems Hi All I'm encountering real problems when I have more than one certificated site on a web sever. As soon as I install a second certificate for another site, IIS5 seems to get confused between the two. The result is that one site will work and the other will try and run the wrong certificate, and redirect users to wrong site.. This has been repeatable on three servers. All running Windows 2000 IIS5, SP2. Has anybody else encountered this behaviour and managed to sort it out.
