Hi Alan, I have used seagate and HP IDE tape drives with W2K server, although in getting them to schedule properly had to create two backup jobs, the first just a small single file, basically to mount the tape properly because win2k used to have some problem with this, which I think has been sorted out with service packs now.
Also found the best place if using an IDE hard-drive, was to place the tape drive as a slave to the hard drive. Sometimes had problems if it was secondary master, or slaved to a cd-rom drive, Hope this helps, P Andrews ----- Original Message ----- From: "Alan Scott" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "NT 2000 Discussions" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Wednesday, October 24, 2001 5:39 PM Subject: IDE Tape Drive with WIN2K Server > Does win2k Server support IDE Tape Drives? > > > ------ > You are subscribed as [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp > To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] ------ You are subscribed as [email protected] Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
