code-1073741819

 Dear all,
I recently encountered a problem with this error.

---Lsass.exe terminated unexpectedly with status code-1073741819
and the system will be shutdown in 60 secs
 ----
Iam getting this error message when i tried to rebuild a
  windows 2000 machine(server)and install office 2000 Premium
on to it.Its happening as soon as i install MS-Office.
Do anyone encountered the same problem.
Iam using terminal services on it.I could't get any fix at MS.

Can anyone explain me what is lsass.exe and what does it do.

 thanks in advance
