Is there another DHCP server on the net? ipconfig /all What is listed as the DHCP server?
Your servers should never use DHCP to obtain their addresses, just clients. Servers should always be manually assigned addresses. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Duane Boudreau Sent: Wednesday, October 31, 2001 6:05 AM To: NT 2000 Discussions Subject: RE: AD DNS Question Yes we are Duane -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Charles E Carson Sent: Tuesday, October 30, 2001 5:44 PM To: NT 2000 Discussions Subject: RE: AD DNS Question Are your servers using DHCP? Charles -----Original Message----- From: Duane Boudreau [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Tuesday, October 30, 2001 3:29 PM To: NT 2000 Discussions Subject: AD DNS Question Hey all, We are having some problems with DNS and AD. Our Win2K servers are supplying the DNS AD database with the IP numbers of a private data subnet (10.0.0.x), even though the IP stacks are configured to NOT supply them to DNS. This results with servers becoming unseen by our LAN subnet (10.1.1.x) because the DNS tells them the IP is 10.0.0.x, completely untouchable to them. The servers are patched to latest revs, etc., and I haven't found anything useful on the Microsoft support sites. Any ideas?
