Why are you using KiXtart? The same thing can be accomplished with a VB
script.

Thanks...

Subject: KiXtart Scripts in AD

Hi all,

Is anyone else running this for logon scripts? If so, what version are you
using? We're using 2001 RC3 and can't seem to get it to run through Group
Policy. After running RSoP to see the GP results on the machine, it shows
that it was applied but there is no drive mapped. The way it's set up is as
follows.

1) GP calls a batch file, which calls the script.
2) Script runs and is supposed to map just one drive for the user.
3) I've placed the script files (kix32.exe... etc) and the batch file into
the logon directory under the specific GP in SYSVOL.
4) Log on as user, no mapped drive.

Weird thing is that I can map to a directory on the server where a copy of
the files reside from this mahcine, double-click the batch file, and the
script runs. Other GP settings are working on this user so I know the GP is
being applied. Is there something we're missing perhaps?

Thanks,
Tony
