I know a bit about it, I interviewed with them way back before they had a
product, didn't take the offer, but that's not cause their stuff isn't cool.

They have an interesting product, it's not anywhere like clustering, it's a
very high availability hardware solution. It takes 4 systems to make a
single system image. 2 file servers, these can be low end boxes, 2
processing servers, these should be good systems, but almost anything will
work. The idea is that the two file servers are one pair, they look
identical, the 2 processing servers are another pair, they run in lock step.
Like MS Clusters they require 100% overhead for processing, the difference
is the file servers. They fail instantly, there is NO delay, if server A
fails server B takes the request.

If you are looking for a real Fault Tolerant, as in 99.999% uptime, you
should look at Stratus as well, they have done FT systems for a long time,
the NYSE uses their UNIX based stuff. www.stratus.com They have a Windows
2000 based solution, it's real Hardware Fault Tolerant. NEC rebadges their
product as their FT system.

I must admit that I used to work at Stratus, but don't anymore, relocation
not company issues.

Good luck,

        Kevin
