Hello: I am trying to install VNC through a startup script within Active Directory. I can get everything work except for adding the a key in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE hive. It will create the folder structure, but will not add any values. I can add things into the HKEY_USERS key fine. I tried using both regini.exe and regedit.exe with the same problem. I can copy files fine from a share into the winnt\system32 directory.
I know that when you use a startup script it uses the local system account. I checked the permissions on the Local_Machine hive and it says that System has full control. Is there something extra I have to do to enable the local system account to add values into the Local_Machine hive? Thank you... Brian M.
