We are migrating from an NT4 domain to a new Windows 2000 domain. We will be using the ADMT tool to perform the migration tasks.
We have a File server that is a BDC in the NT4 domain. Local Groups have been given access to files on this BDC. Going forward into the new domain we would like for this server to be a member server? Can someone tell me the best way to accomplish this? I guess what I am asking is what are the necessary steps to getting this DC in the new domain as a member server once the User accounts and Groups have been migrated? Do I just take it offlince run DCPROMO and demote it then Re-ACL?
