I apologize if this is a duplicate. We are about to embark on replacing our existing NT4 based WINS servers with W2K servers. Currently the plan is to bring up a new W2K server and (after shutting down the old box) give it the IP of the old NT4 machine. Also, in the process bringing the database from the NT4 to Win2K machine (as noted in KB Q215392, from 1/1/2000).
My question. Have any of you done this previously or have you heard of others doing it? How was it, what problems occurred, any thing to watch out for? Thank you.
