It is definitely possible with Ghost. I have resized partitions many times
when using it. When you run Ghost, one of the screen prompts you will
receive is regarding current partitions to be ghosted over, and their
current size, as well as current file system. At that point, you can choose
to resize the partitions up on the new drive. No probles

Hi !

Thanks for the suggestions.

By the way, existing partitions could be 2 GB in C:\ for Win 2K, 1 GB in D:\
for Programs and 1 GB in E:\ for Data.

At the end, in the new configuration, I'd like C:D:E as 10:10:20

Will this be possible with Ghost / PowerQuest / SysPrep ?

That is, it is not straightaway copying. Also, note that the Page File Size
would now be higher (not a big problem though).

By the way, I receive digests of this list, so I could be delayed in
replying.

In any case, thanks once again.

Sincerely,

C.Rajagopalan

Hi !

We need to upgrade about 30 client machines in our Division having following
config:

Existing Config: 64 MB RAM, 4 GB HDD

To be upgraded to: 256 MB RAM, 40 GB HDD

Rest all, including the Apps, Users, etc. should remain the same in each
machine. At the end of the upgradation, there will be only one 40 GB HDD in
each. All clients currently run Win 2K SP2.

Which is the best way to go about this upgradation, WITHOUT the full
re-install of the OS ?

Any case studies, experiences, pitfalls, software to accomplish this would
be most useful.

Thanks in advance.

Sincerely,
