Not sure what our error code was, I was on vacation when it happened, but we
got the same error, the words. What happened was that the user system was
removed from some important items in the registry I believe. They only way
to fix the problem is to redo the machine.

Subject: Stop Error C0000218 Registry Cannot load the hive

I was wondering if anyone has seen this error message "Stop Error C0000218
Registry Cannot load the hive" This is happening on a windows 2000 Pro SP2
machine on boot up. It happens no matter how it boots up. I checked Technet
and found Q104203 which basically says yes we've seen it and it cannot be
reproduced. If you have seen this error please jump right in.
