there is a recovery option even if you didn't have it installed at the time.
It has been almost two years since I have used it but I was able to get a
file back. If the drive has been written to very much the sector is probably
been over written than it is too late.

If I am not mistaken, Norton Undelete only works if you have it installed
before you delete the file, not after.
