Yes a GP could be causing this. -----Original Message----- From: Paul Timmerman [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, January 30, 2002 4:09 PM To: NT 2000 Discussions Subject: Security for Services
Is there anyway to restrict a users ability to stop and start only certain services? I have a Win2K pro PC on which I am a local admin. All of the sudden though I cannot manipulate certian services, such as my local Event Log Service. Should I not be able to stop and start that service as a local admin? We are in a WinNT domain with a few 2000 member servers. Could a global domain policy of some sort be causing this? TIA! _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com ------ You are subscribed as [EMAIL PROTECTED] Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] This e-mail and any files transmitted with it are confidential and are intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to whom they are addressed.
