Plus, Commerce2K *$$$$*, especially just for the search capability. -----Original Message----- From: Kevin McClain [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thursday, January 31, 2002 12:02 PM To: NT 2000 Discussions Subject: RE: Site Server 3.0
I believe Commerce Server 2000 is the product that will replace Site Server. But I agree, I don't believe there is a real need to upgrade right at this point. Commerce server has a load more functionality to it than site server did though. It's worth checking out. It will work fine in W2K with a little patch and the latest SP. -----Original Message----- From: Alexander Kha Do [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thursday, January 31, 2002 11:42 AM To: NT 2000 Discussions Subject: Site Server 3.0 We are currently using the search functions of Microsoft Site Server on a box running NT4 Server. We want to upgrade the machine to Windows 2000 Server but we are having problems figuring out what product has replaced Site Server, as Site Server is apparently being phased out. The Index Service that is included with W2KS is insufficient for our needs, as it does not index URLs, only directories and UNC paths. Does anyone know which product is supposed to replace Site Server? Thanks. ========================= Alex Do Desktop OS Specialist Information Technology Services Occidental College (323) 259 1428 Fax: (323) 341 4895 1600 Campus Road Los Angeles, CA 90041 ------ You are subscribed as [EMAIL PROTECTED] Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] ------ You are subscribed as [EMAIL PROTECTED] Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] ------ You are subscribed as [EMAIL PROTECTED] Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] ------ You are subscribed as [email protected] Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
