It records informational, errors, warnings, etc. You may have a filter
enabled. Also make sure that the log is not full and has not been restricted
from either overwrite or grow in size. I like the overwrite as needed option
as even logs can grow pretty large.

Does the system event log only record errors.  I have been having trouble
