Hi all, I'm having a bit of trouble getting this to stick and the documentation I've found isn't all that clear. Here's what I've done in the test lab.
Created a global group called My Admins. Added two test users to this group. I created a group policy called Restrict Group. In the computer config area, I've added the My Admins group as a restricted group. In the properties of it, I've added the My Admins group into the 'Members of this Group' section. In the 'This group is a member of' section, I browsed to find the Administrators group of the testdomain/builtin. I'm trying to get this group to be automatically added to the local Administrators group on the PC This policy is applied to an OU where the computer account resides. This PC is running XP. If I make another change to the policy like 'don't show last log on', it sticks so I know it's being applied. RSOP shows that it doesn't get applied and to check the winlogon.log file. I checked it and it says that there was 'no system mapping found for testdomain/My Admins'. Am I even doing this right?
