Depends on the config.... It might be yours or their fire wall blocking
pings.... Might be DNS related if their records were changed recently. (you
- I assume use a different name server at work than home) so their changes
may have not propagated throughout the internet. Have you tried any DNS
related diag tools? IE samspade, etc.?

Hello, 

We have this weird situation at my company.  we are 
unable to send email to a particular company.  I try the 
usual network check.  to my surprise I was getting no 
response.  (i.e: when I try to ping their web site, it 
came back unknown host..)  But I was able to get to their 
website at home.  I thinking its somehow dns related.  
Can anyone explain why its was ok connecting to them at 
home and not at work.  We don't have a proxy server.
