How about web access instead of dial up. The Columbus school system and
some of the colleges around here have implemented Notes online access.
I have set up OWA for sh*ts and giggles and have found it extremely well
made and reliable. And most of all, free with the price of an internet
connection.

How about an internet connection (DSL or whatever), and a VPN.
On the user side, an internet account with someone like Mindspring or
AT&T
and a VPN cleint.

Subject: Using Network Dial UP for mail

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this question (if not can
someone
refer me to another place)? thanks..

Bascially we are using lotus notes as our email client. When people are
travelling they use lotus browser software to access their mail which is
proving to be a pain. We want to use the client software, but we need
to
have a dial up connection/modem to the server on the server, The
problem
with that is that the cost will be enormous if travelling overseas,
making
an overseas call to download mail.

Can anyone guide in me in a direction that will be lest costly ? thanks!
