I personally have moved from using .bat to using .vbs its cleaner... I have a feeling that's where M$ is going..... And they run super fast. If you contact me directly I can give you some code snippets and resource links to help get you started.

(small company, one domain, 20 users). - certain Network folders are mapped to drives via a logon-batches. - three different logon batches for different user groups. - name of the logon.bat is included in users properties problem: - sometimes drives get 'lost' and the user has to start the logon.bat from the netlogon folder manually to remap the folders. question: - Why does the mappings get lost? - Is the a more elegant way to map folders to drive letters from the administrators site under 2k then to use logon-batches? E. G. group policy? Gratefull for any hints. regards Elmer -- Elmer Stwer CyberConsult - Beratungsgesellschaft fr Neue Medien mbH Tel: (030) 39 99 05 -42, Fax: (030) 39 99 05 -67 mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ------ You are subscribed as [EMAIL PROTECTED] Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] ------ You are subscribed as [email protected] Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
