Hi all. Been looking around for some help with a config issue regarding vpn setup. Is there an issue with placing a VPN server adjacent to, rather than inline with a Pix firewall running nat (reccomendation from MSFT)? Due to an outdated IOS version, it appears our firewall (for now) won't translate for pptp, so i was thinking about putting a win2k server along side it - it would only accept vpn connections from the outside, so should be secure, but I'm worried about having 2 devices both doing NAT/PAT on the edge of my network. has anyone tried a setup like this before.
