Hello,

I come from a Novell environment and I have not been able to figure out how to do this
in Windows 2000:

Share folder X set to READ for all authenticated user. inheritable permissions are
not allow from parent folders.
Within the X folder I created many subfolders, one for each department.
Each department has been configure to access its own folder only, for example the
Customer service department has a folder under X call CS and only Customer Service
can access this folder.
The questions is, since I am mapping a network drive to the X share folder for all
users , when they go to see their respective folder they open X and they can see all
the other departments folders they cannot open the other folders but they see them, is
their a way to only show their departmental folder and not all the list of folders
located under X?

I know that I could map a drive directly to their departmental folder. However, I
am trying to find a way to let them see only their share when they open X.

Thank you,

Juan Rosas
