I'll give that util a try and post the results. Well, it's been a while and no one else brought this up, so I'll throw this bit in.
Veritas is having an internal discussion right now about problems they are receiving this past 3 or 4 weeks about Dell servers with PERC 2 or 3 controllers, and the Veritas tape device drivers installed with Backup Exec 8.6. They say they are getting reports of this very same thing. No blue screens, no dumps, no events in the event log, just spontaneous reboots. But we haven't gotten any official word from them as they haven't made this public yet.
