run event viewer and open the file - it will not overwrite the "live" event log but use the event reader as a reader.

Hello All,
I just saved my Application Event log to clear out the event log view. The
log was getting very big, so I wanted to save it and free up the
application
event view. Now I want to read it. I have tried opening the saved file
using Word Pad, and Note pad. But I get a lot of characters/scribble. Can
someone help me. Thanks
