Saraga,

Is that something like the following...

su.exe administrator cmd.exe . winsta0\winlogon < c:\admin.txt

Then, inside the admin.txt, I would put the password "abc123".

Is that right? I read some information from W2K Resource kit, but understand
it completely.

Do you have any completed script that I could take a look?

Thanks Saraga
John Shi

i don't believe you can use the run as function because you won't be able to
pass the admin acct info to it from the command line. if you installed the
SU.exe resource kit utility previously, you can script that to launch an exe
with admin rights.

Hi everyone,

I need to run an exe from a logon script. The problem is the exe requires
admin rights, because the exe will edit the registry. Does anyone know of
a way to callup the exe with a run as variable set to a local admin
account. If so please let me know.

Thanks
John Shi
