If the app in question can support it, then use the switch.

Subject: The /3gb switch

Could someone please help me settle a debate. We have two Windows 2000
Advanced Server systems with 4GB of RAM. I say (along with Q283037) that we
SHOULD use the /3GB switch on these particular servers to improve the
performance. Others are saying not to use the switch based on the Microsoft
whitepaper found at
http://www.microsoft.com/hwdev/platform/server/PAE/PAEmem.asp. Does anyone
have any experience with this switch? If it's done, could it do harm?
