Yes, it is possible to log in to a domain from DOS and to attach to CIFS shares. The textbook answer is to take a look in the Microsoft Knowledgebase for information on the Network Client Administrator.
The much easier answer is to go to http://www.bootdisk.com and grab an image of a working DOS network boot disk. The challenge will be to craft a boot disk with all of the necessary resources to connect to both NOSes within the confines of conventional memory. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] On Behalf Of [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, April 01, 2002 3:43 PM To: NT 2000 Discussions Subject: DOS workstation!? I dont know if this is even possible but let me know if it is: I cuttently have a Windows 2000 Server in my domain. I also have 2 DOS workstations that are on my network which is novell based as well. They log directly into the network via a Novell script. Now i need to try and attch them to the Windows server as well. Is it even possible to log a DOS based workstation into a domain and attach to a Windows 2000 server?? If so i would appreciate any help anyone can give me.
