We are running a mixed NT4.0/2000 domain. The network is a single domain,
single segment, TCP/IP, with the PDC having been upgraded to Win2K (with 2
NT 4 BDCs). Things seem to run fine until 5:00pm each day when the 2000
DC decides to stop allowing users to log on from their machines and
existing connections are lost. The error that is reported upon login is
"not a valid device on the network". When the 2000 DC is offline (as in
rebooting) the BDCs authenticate the users on their own machines with no
problem. Once the 2000 DC comes up the logons are prevented again. Any
ideas?
