I have a combination of Dell and HP servers. The Dell 2100's are about 4
years old now and still going strong. I also added a 1400 and 2500 last
year. No problems with any of them. I prefer my HP's for database and
storage boxes but the Dell's certainly perform well and offer good value.

Subject: OT: Dell servers

Sorry for the ot...

 But...

I was just curious - are the lower end Dell's crap in general? I myself have
never used a dell, but I was looking at some of the price point rackmouts
for a low volume file server. They seem to come in quite a bit cheaper than
others. I was just hoping for some feedback from those who have used the
dell line of servers.

Please reply direct as I do not want the list to wander too far off topic.

Thanks in advance.
