Can you start over? If not, remove office and put the key back to 0. Reboot.
Put the key back to 1 and reboot and then install Office. I had the exact
same problems. The way I did it was this method.

Cheers,
Tony

Did this, and it had no effect. The issue was still there post imaging.

You need to make a reg change before you RIS the image.

HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem\NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreatio
n and change the value to 1.

Subject: Off XP issue after RIS imaging

Hi there - I built an image for my RIS server which has W2K and OffXP. All
worked fine prior to imaging. Now after I created the image on the server
and then load a machine from it - for some reason office is all wonky. IE
When right clicking the outlook desktop icon, it says it can not find the
exe. And when I try to add an account, I press the button to do so and
nothing happens. The app is not frozen, the button is depressed - but
nothing happens. I then have to uninstall office, and re-install on the
imaged machine (not from the image, but the office cd)

Ideas?

  Dustin
