I use cryptpwd.exe, and put it in the login script. I am not sure where to
download it off the top of my head. A Google search for cryptpwd.exe should
work.

Hope this helps...

Subject: Security - Local Admin Account

For W2k pro machines authenticating into a 2k domain is there a way for the
machine (local) Administrator account password to periodically be changed on
all machines by some sort of login script or tool? I have found a way to
crack this password, now I would like to change this at least every couple
of days on all my machines.

Is this a good idea? What are your thoughts?

TIA - Paul

Subject: Update the Local Administrator password.

I'd like to install on Win2000 wotkstations a service that change the
password of the Local Administrator Account for exemple each day.
The generation of this password must depends of several parameters (ex :
Computer Name; MacAddress)..

Compaq provide an excellent tool named "PasswdSvc" into his Toolbox, but
this product is very expensive.

Someone knows him another produces.

TIA.
